This study combines the knowledge and experience of IFC experts and incorporates recommendations from specialists in energy efficiency, financiers, bankers and colleagues from other IFC programs. The purpose of this guide is to show that financing projects to increase energy efficiency is financially viable e and profitable for banks and their client s at the current cost of bank lending. This guide will help the bank specialists to learn about the benefits of selling credit products for energy efficiency and to introduce such products in a systemic way: the formulation of internal procedures, sales, and fol low-up moni toring.
