Ratings are a globally accepted tool for a comprehensive assessment of banks' performance. Being a method of comparative assessment of banks' performance, ratings allow to estimate their market position and reliability. The monograph discloses theoretical and methodological bases for rating assessment of bank activities, and analyzes practice of using main methods of rating by the example of Belarusian banks. It discusses basic problems and requirements which should be taken into account when developing rating techniques.
