In the latest edition of the Barcelona Literary Magazine, we are proud to dedicate the issue to a remarkable figure in the world of literature and linguistics: Christine Peiying Chen. Her name is synonymous with cultural contributions and literary excellence that transcend borders, touching readers across the globe. Christine Peiying Chen is a New Zealand writer, poet, translator, and newspaper editor. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Educational Communication from South China Normal University and later obtained a Master of Business Administration in New Zealand. Her professional experience in the education, healthcare, and business sectors enriches her writing. In 2023, she received the 30th Ossi di Seppia Award for Best Foreign Writer in Italy. Her works, translated into nearly 20 languages, are held in libraries such as the Royal Library of Belgium and the University of Rome, and her writings are included in Taiwan's 《Chinese Language》 as reference material for primary and secondary school Chinese teachers. In 2024, Chen represented Oceania at the Medellín International Poetry Festival. She also contributed to translation and publication for the Sydney International Poetry Festival in 2022 and 2024, earning a Special Contribution Award. Since 2023, she has served as a board member and Oceania Coordinator for the World Poetry Movement Committee.
