About the Author: A native of South Carolina, Harold Michael Phillips is a graduate of Mid-Continent University in Mayfield Kentucky as well as Covington Theological Seminary, Rossville Georgia with a Masters in Religious Education and a Doctors Degree in Theology. He is presently the Senior Pastor of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Port Deposit Maryland and has been since 1990. He is a recipient of the Salt and Light Award in 2003, given by D. James Kennedy and Coral Ridge Ministries and an honorary Doctors of Divinity Degree from Mid-Continent University. Dr. Phillips has been married to his wife, Corkie, for 43 years, and has five children and fourteen grandchildren. He also has five horses, a dachshund named Bella and, yes, a donkey named Barnabas.
