Yiliu Liu is a professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). His main research interests include safety barriers and safety-critical systems, risk management, system reliability, and resilience engineering. He is the director of the international master program of RAMS (reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety) at NTNU, the Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Reliability and Safety, and the subject editor of the journal Process Safety and Environmental Protection.
