This book critques FDI as an important aspect of international trade law and examines the rationale for it, the factors that attract it to a developing country, its merits and demerits and the factors that deter it from the developing countries of West Africa. The book groups these factors under two main headings. The legal factors, on the one hand, and the other factors such as political factors, geographic factors, administrative costs and socio-economic factors on the other hand.
