The objective was to analyze serum values of Calcium, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Total Proteins, Albumin, Globulins and Glucose in the guinea pig "Cavia porcellus" by dry chemistry. It was used 90 male guinea pigs with ages between 50-60 days of an improved line, with weights between 800-900gr of live weight; they were distributed in 3 groups: familiar, familiar-commercial, commercial, in two parishes of the Cuenca Canton, province of Azuay. In both parishes 45 male guinea pigs were sampled, divided into 15 samples per production system. The sample was taken using the venipuncture technique.
