Software now permeates all areas of daily life. As the importance of software grows, so does the importance of training those who are able to develop software of high quality despite all its complexity. However, so far there has been a lack of methodologically sound statements about all that is part of a good software engineering education. Based on the designed research design a didactics for software engineering was developed. Based on competence profiles of good software engineers, measures for university teaching are derived in order to achieve these competence goals. Finally, these measures are to be evaluated in a competence-oriented manner. Core elements of the research approach thus comprise a competence profile, the competence-oriented further development of teaching concepts based on this, and the systematic evaluation of the effectiveness of these teaching concepts in order to draw conclusions about the teaching-learning processes and their interrelations. The result of the knowledge gained is a proposal for a subject didactics for software engineering. This book has been translated with Artificial Intelligence.
