Since the beginning of this century, a huge amount of scientific research in the field of metalworking technology has been carried out. Since the 1950s, the general theory of optimization problem solving and, on its basis, various methods of optimization of metalworking processes have been intensively developed. Increasing efficiency of machine building production, transition to market principles of economic management, increasing competition testify to the fact that economic and technical-economic criteria of optimality are the main ones in solving the problems of optimization of technological design. This monograph investigates the optimization of metalworking modes by productivity and cost criteria taking into account the control operations.
