Autorenporträt
Robert is the proud father of four beautiful, gifted and talented young adult daughters and two grandsons. He is the husband to Georgeanna (Georgie girl) for 36 years. Robert says, "she is God's special gift of love, dedication, intelligence, and beauty, with a great love of God and people". Robert has worked with youth and men's ministry throughout the community for over 20 years. His background includes being the founder and Director of Project Redirect Inc. since 1993. Robert has also provided intervention prevention services with the Pittsburgh Public Schools for 17 years, which included anger management, success strategies and career and college preparation. Through the Christ Soul Saving Station Church, Robert was licensed and ordained as a Minister in 1988 and served as the local and Mid-West Men's District President, Church Administrator and Youth Pastor. Currently, Robert is a Member and Minster of Jubilee International Ministries where he continues his work with young men through Jubilee's Save Our Sons Program (SOS). Robert known passionately as pops by his students has also served as the Pennsylvania Conductor for the Pathways to Freedom Underground Railroad education program through the Rosa and Raymond Parks Institute for Self-development. He had the wonderful privilege of taking hundreds of Pittsburgh youth on the pathway to freedom tours with the late Dr. Rosa Parks (Mother of the Civil Rights Movement). Robert has further gained notoriety in the community as the Director of Pittsburgh Urban Young Life, taking many city youths to camps throughout the US. Reflecting on his own life as a child and not having that father figure he so much desired even as an adult, realized that it was time to be transparent and share his own struggles and successes as a father, which while writing the book became more a part of his healing. Knowing that there were millions of men who share the same struggles, God impressed upon his heart to write Battery Not Included, A Fathers Dilemma, to encourage and empower fathers and families everywhere and in all walks of life; providing them with the tools necessary to be great dads. Robert is a motivational speaker and plans to continue this movement both locally and Internationally. He has many literary projects and poetry yet to be published and released and hopes that Battery Not Included, A Fathers Dilemma will provide strategy and a path for fathers around the world.
