The battle of Tipton green was an engagement in the First English Civil War in the area of Tipton Green, about one mile from Dudley castle. The battle occurred in 1644, when Royalist troops arrived from Worcester to break Lord Denbigh's siege of the castle. The battle resulted in a Royalist victory.
