Valerie Pickles is an aspiring author and a hopeless romantic: hopeless with a capital 'H' because her boyfriend has dumped her for the girl next-door - literally. With a severe case of writer's block, she would do just about anything to escape the sound of their sex marathons through the thin adjoining wall of her bedroom - even become a chalet girl alongside her best friend, Gemma. French, Leo Coultier, is a hard-nosed businessman and serious workaholic: serious with a capital 'S' because he hasn't got time to mess around. But he would do anything for the sister he adores, even agree to host her fiancé Josh's stag party week at his luxury chalet ... what better way to sabotage the relationship. Méricoeur is an idyllic ski town nestled in the French Alps. Idyllic until Leo arrives accompanied by a stag party. It's only a week. What could possibly go wrong? Except Valerie can't ski and has rather limited survival skills, especially where Leo Cloutier is concerned; and Leo doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell when it comes to breaking all his resolutions and the sweet temptation that is Valerie. Prepare yourself for some off-piste romance in Be My Valerie!
Autorenporträt
Anna Foxkirk writes upbeat romantic women's fiction. Born in Fiji, she was educated in the UK, but has spent most of her life travelling the globe. Her love affair with fiction began at a very young age: Though living on a small coral atoll in the Pacific Ocean, at the age of seven she was sent off to boarding school in frost-bitten Yorkshire, England - how better to escape her confines than in the pages of a good book. After university in Scotland, she served seven years with the British military in Bosnia, including a stint living in Edinburgh Castle, before going on to become a teacher of English and history. A lifetime of travelling and living abroad - France, England, Scotland, Germany, Bosnia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Kiribati - is reflected in her stories, especially her 'Passport to Love' series. Anna now lives on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, Australia, with her husband, three children and dog, Truffle.
