Ruben L.F. Habito, guiding teacher at Maria Kannon Zen Center in Dallas, Texas, teaches at Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University. He is the author of Experiencing Buddhism: Ways of Wisdom and Compassion (Orbis, 2005), Living Zen, Loving God (Wisdom Publications, 1995 ), Zen and the Spiritual Exercises (Orbis, 2013), and many other volumes in English and Japanese.
