Mary Walter is a leadership coach, team effectiveness guru, and retail expert. Mary led teams in retail for over 25 years, including serving as the Group SVP leading the Stores Organization at Ross. In that role, Mary built a high-performance, diverse team who delivered unprecedented financial and customer results. Mary has held senior positions at Gap, Target and Macy's, running the retail spectrum from Specialty to Discount. In her leadership consulting practice, Mary has accelerated leadership and results, with clients including Nike, Sephora, Peet's Coffee, Gap Inc, and Athleta. Mary holds an MBA from Northeastern University, but says her most important learning has always come from her teams. Mary's upcoming book, "Be the Best Boss" will provide a roadmap for new managers to achieve success leading their teams. When Mary isn't coaching she's busy trying to keep up with her 15 -year old son on skis, mountain bikes and on hiking trails. Mary lives in Tahoe with her husband and son.
