Christian life is much more than enjoying church services and fellowship with other Christians. It is primarily about embarking on a life-transforming adventure which lasts a lifetime. Choosing to be a follower of Christ is the wisest and one of the most radical decisions we can ever make. It has deep implications on practically everything: our view of life, success, the truth, the distinction between good and evil, human fulfillment, etc. It changes our worldview drastically and therefore, affects our beliefs, actions, habits and destiny on this side of eternity and beyond death. However, this transformation is costly. It requires us to deny ourselves, to abandon our sinful beliefs and to obediently follow God's guidance. Failing to follow this demanding path once we have chosen to follow Christ is dangerous for us; our communities, the Church, our nations and the world. One of the most obstinate obstacles to this transformation is the cultural beliefs and practices entailed in our secular worldview; and which are deeply rooted in our lives. This book explores how this obstacle operates; and how we can overcome it and be the kind of people God wants us to be; for His glory.
