Ayanna Murray has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from the University of Oregon. Her first published book was "Bear Learns to Share," co-authored and illustrated by her daughters, Anaya and Jayda Murray. Other books by Ayanna include "Keep Moving Forward, Henry!" a story about her father's experience as one of the first African American firemen in her hometown. Ayanna has fond memories of her own father's love and her husband's love for her two daughters. She was inspired to write Fire-Lit Lovely: A Daddy-Daughter Love Story to celebrate this special relationship. She now lives in Memphis, Tennessee with her husband and four beautiful children.
