Beautiful, intelligent, caring, loyal, funny, energetic, and stone-obsessed; if Beatrix had been a human, which she believed she was, she would probablyhave been a head teacher. This is a tale of companionship and adventure; funny, frightening, and at times mystical, but always revealing the true nature of my fantastic dog. With a feel-good factor, the book looks at human life, habits and language as seen through a dog's eyes. Our adventures include a real-life lassie-style rescue on a mountain of me, her poorly mum, finding a hypothermic human, and accidentally herding skiers. Life for Beatrix revolves around her obsessions, mainly sticks, stones and balls. But then there is Baby Jesus from the handmade nativity scene, who comes out each year. She was never allowed to eat him though. Beatrix also travels through time, where her adventures have no limit. Which tales are true, and which fiction? Only Beatrix knows for sure.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
Debra's a Yorkshire lass through and through, whose passion from an early age was to cycle and walk in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. In her late teens, she fell in love with the Lake District, especially the Langdale Valley, and hopes that one day she'll be able to live there.Of course, coming from Halifax and living across the road from the Rowntree Mackintosh factory (now Nestlé), Debra was destined to have a sweet tooth. Cycles and walks always involved chocolate of some sort, a Yorkie Bar, Toffee Crisp, or a couple of Quality Street chocolates, but Debra's also quite partial to Cadbury's Dairy Milk.In the late 1990s, Debra moved from Yorkshire to Scotland. Life continued to include walking, cycling, and chocolate, but in 2005, along came Scotsman Jim, who fell in love with Debra's gentle Yorkshire accent, and they became Mr and Mrs. Debra still lives in Scotland with her husband and their Border Collie, eating chocolate, walking, and cycling, but she continues to take regular trips down to Yorkshire to see her children and grandchildren.Debra still dreams of living in the Lake District.
