Autorenporträt
My name is Arlene Angeline. I was born in Portland, Oregon and raised in Vancouver, Washington. I come from a collectivist society and identify as bi-cultural (American-Fijian) and bi-religious (Christian-Hindu). I obtained my Bachelors of Psychology & Sociology from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington in 2014. I obtained my Masters of Social Work degree from University of Michigan School of Social Work in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 2016. To speak more to this, I have chosen to dedicate my life to assisting the most economically and socially disadvantaged groups in our society -- abused and neglected children and animals. Specifically, I plan on owning a private, non-profit, foster care adoption agency for abused and neglected children and animals called, Arlene's Angels: An Adoption Agency. I wish to house the 'rough and tumble' children and animals who been shuffled around from home to home. More explicitly, I wish to work with 'kill shelters' and adopt the animals that are about to be euthanized in hopes of giving these animals a second chance at life. Then, both the children and the animals will work hand-in-hand during their journey towards hope and restoration. In the end, it is my hope that both the child and their companion pet will be adopted out together as they lead a new walk in life if they so choose to, that is. To support my aspirations, profits from my children's books will be used to bring my dreams into reality.
