Everyone enjoys time at the swimming pool! When it comes to preventing pool accidents and drownings in young children - especially toddlers - constant adult supervision is a must. In addition, parents can add layers of protection in and around the water by discussing pool safety basics with their kids before they go on spring break or walk through the gates of their local pool. Written by a former lifeguard and swim instructor, Beckett Beaver's simple "do" and "don't" format helps young kids understand pool rules.

Autorenporträt
LAUREN KELLEY writes stories for pre-readers and early readers. She earned her degree in English, with a minor in Disability Studies, at The Ohio State University, where she co-edited the opening book of the Deaf Lives Series, Alone in the Mainstream, and contributed to the introduction. She started her career as a public relations professional for a Fortune 100 health care company, but left her corporate role to pursue her love of writing while traveling the world. She ended up back in her hometown of Columbus, Ohio, after realizing her best friend was also her soul mate (who happens to be a dentist.) They married and moved to Powell, Ohio with children Leo and Beckett. The Baby Tooth series is her first of many collaborations with illustrator Emmy Mitchell.
