Reflect with all your heart, and let God minister to you. I pray it helps each of you as you continue to lead yourself, your family, your business, and your purpose. You can jump in any day of the year. January 1 Anchor Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 "If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing." LOVE-An important ingredient missing from leadership is LOVE. How can you love and lead others if you do not love yourself? How can you lead your brothers and sisters if you do not love them? We are not created to hate, envy, chastise, or be jealous of each other. We are created to LOVE. The word reminds us, "If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing." That means no amount of power, influence, or gift we wield can surpass love. That is why Jesus set the example of leadership for us by describing it as a life of service and not control; a good leader loves and serves his people. Reflection: Leaders must be patient, kind, not envious, not boastful, not proud (aka humility), must not dishonor others, must not be self-seeking (never about you or your desires), not easily angered, keeps no record of wrongdoing (forgiving), does not delight in evil, always protects, always trusts (this is one of the biggest areas that threaten leaders), hopes always, and always persevere. Do you exhibit these traits as a leader? Do you need to improve on any key love principles to lead your tribe successfully? > > >
