Thays Prado tiene una licenciatura en Comunicaciones de la Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, en Brasil, y una maestría en Género, Medios y Cultura del Instituto de Género de la London School of Economics and Political Science. Feminista, ha trabajado en temas de género para organizaciones como BBC Media Action y ONU Mujeres.
