In this book, the authors focus on discriminating between the content of phenolic compounds and the antioxidant capacity of honeys produced in the Marajoara region. The book includes a literature review focusing on the fact that honey is primarily a plant product, hence the importance of correlating its pharmacological activity with its plant origin. The hope is that this work will legitimize popular knowledge about the use of honey as a component of many home remedies.
