The author played a key role as a researcher and implementer of the project since he was one of the beekeeping practitioners in the village. Information in this book are based on research findings and author's ideas emanating from his involvement in the project.

The author is currently a Community Development Lecturer at Tanzania's Institute of Adult Education. Trained on Masters degree of Science in Community Economic Development of the Southern New Hampshire University - USA, Belingtone Mariki has vast experience in designing, planning, monitoring and evaluation of Community Development projects.
