Autorenporträt
The author, Jane Hembree, was born in Murphy, a small town in North Carolina. She graduated from Western Carolina University with a BA in Elementary Education and from Hood College in Frederick, MD with a MA in School Counseling. As a military wife, she traveled with her husband Steve and their two children, Sarah and Sean, spending time in Japan, Thailand and Brazil as well as other posts. During those years, Jane worked as an elementary teacher and as a middle/high school counselor. After returning home to WNC with her husband, she continued to work as a middle school counselor until her retierment. She became interested in photography and was a North CarolinaSeniorGames/SilverArts state medal winner in Photography. When Beemer, a seven week old yellow lab puppy, came into their lives, he was a willing subject and the photographs of him easily evolved into the book Beemer's Adventures.
