Janette Valenzo is a bilingual queer Chicana actor, poet, teaching artist,Tarot reader, and mental health advocate. She's been published in several literary journals. She currently teaches with UCLA and several arts-based nonprofits, while writing a monthly career Tarotscopes column for Powerful Latinas Rising. Janette Valenzo is a bilingual Chicana actor, teaching artist, writer, and graduate student at USC for a Master of Education in School Counseling. She believes we need to address the inequities in society through all possible means (education, performing arts, politics, etc.). That's why you may experience whiplash as you scroll through the pages of her website that range from her performing in summer Shakespeare festivals to her time working as an Advance Associate for the Obama Administration. She specifically works with projects that support historically marginalized communities and encourages others to working towards an equitable future.
