In the initial part of the work, a contextualization of the Colombian entrepreneur is carried out, taking as a reference the historical antecedents that have delineated their behavior over time. Subsequently, studies carried out by primary sources at the country level are taken into account, in terms of variables such as: sex, age, level of education and income, among others.In the frame of reference, an interesting journey is made through the most important theories that address the issue of entrepreneur behavior, highlighting concepts from authors, such as: McClelland, Burnham, Schwartz, Rodrigo Varela, among others.Finally, the results of the applied surveys are presented and the instrument that evaluates the behavior of the Microentrepreneurs of the city of Manizales, Colombia, according to the characteristics referenced in the study is presented.
