Shamima Gaffoor was born and raised in Lenasia, a small town which is situated in Johannesburg, South Africa. She was recently married and has her heart filled with hope. Singing brings joy to her life even though she is almost certain that she sound like a frog. Shamima considers her mother as her pillar of strength and holds her in high regard, therefore she has written and dedicated Behind The Veil in her honor. She sees herself as a fierce warrior and believes that perfection takes time. Working hard to achieve her goals is a necessity.
