Richard G. Malloy, S.J. is the university chaplain at the University of Scranton, working with Campus Ministry, the Center for Service and Social Justice, The Jesuit Center, Service Learning and the International Service Programs. He has also served as a professor and university chaplain at St. Joseph's Univer-sity in Philadelphia. He is the author of the Orbis books Spiritual Direction: A Beginner's Guide and A Faith That Frees: Catholic Matters for the Twenty-first Century, which won second place in the category "Popular Presentation of the Faith" from the Catholic Press Association.
