Larry Burns lives in Riverside (aka The Inland Empire, the 909, Inland SoCal, Inlandia) with his wife, three kids, and various mutts. Someday, he hopes to open a Kyoto Noodle Shop with someone else's money. He is a founding member of Inlandia Institute, a non-profit literary advocacy group. He teaches freshman coursework in the College of Humanities and Sciences at University of Phoenix. This book was written while I completed Mount St. Mary's University Weekend College Program. Many of the characters, plot points, and other details come from what was studied in the program. As the first graduate of the MA Humanities program, Mount Voices published an earlier version of this short novel. This version includes minor revisions and corrections to that original draft.
