Jon Cross is a man, who despite not yet reaching 40, has been a criminal barrister, wine merchant, landscape gardener, a Conservative councillor and cabinet member for an English district council.Unfortunately for Jon, he did not excel at any of them. What has sustained him is a sense of humour, a sense of cynicism, a sense of how unfair political correctness has become and a sense that England has lost its way since the time when individuality and eccentricity were celebrated, to be replaced by the harsh blandness of conformity.Drawing upon the events of his so-far short life, the majority of which have surprisingly happened and only a couple of which have been moderately exaggerated, Jon began writing his first novel Being Woake, soon to be published in 2022.Aside from writing, Jon lives in the Surrey Hills with his wife and family, a neurotic German Shephard and a designer Surrey dog.He still finds time to aggravate the Parish Council, much to their enjoyment.
