In August 2024, during the official visit of Premier Li Qiang of the State Council of the People's Republic of China to Belarus, the governments of the two countries signed a weighty package of documents revealing the potential for cooperation in trade, investment, development and deepening of industrial cooperation, and scientific and technical interaction. It was also decided to declare 2024-2025 the Years of Cooperation between Belarus and China in Science, Technology and Innovation. All this suggests that the parties see the integration of Belarusian competencies and Chinese technologies as a key element in building a joint future. The implementation of a comprehensive strategy of joint industrial development and the preparation of detailed plans for the industrial policy interface will give concrete practical content to the new status of the relations between the two countries - an all-weather and all-round strategic partnership. For this reason, cooperation with China will allow Belarus to realize its ambitious plans for modernization and technical re-equipment. How will these prospects be realized in the near future? And what issues are being addressed? This is the subject of this study.
