The aim of this paper is to present the results of a survey carried out with a group of PARFOR/English students at UESC about the challenges they face during their training process. English teachers go through a number of professional and personal challenges during their training which can influence the way they work in the classroom, according to Paiva (2005). In addition, in this work, the group of teachers surveyed talk about their beliefs and the emotions they experienced when challenged to reflect on the training process that constituted their profession.
