So many struggles have to do with identity. In some cases the struggle is in not knowing who you are, and in others it is knowing exactly who you are and too afraid to be that person. I believe that most of us can relate to being in a season just like, or similar to the one that I've described. But my question is, why do we, as people, spend so much time on trying to hide the fact that we don't have it all together? Why are we hiding our flaws and imperfections? Why are we afraid to publicly embrace the journey of growth and self-discovery?

Autorenporträt
Janaya M. Jackson is the creator and founder of the nonprofit organization, Love Lighthouse, which focuses on impacting and encouraging change in the lives of every person they meet through love. At her empowerment meetings, she is passionate about tackling issues of the heart, including emotional abuse, physical abuse, insecurities, low self-esteem, and rejection. It is her belief that by addressing these matters in a healthy and supportive environment, the byproduct will be a community of emotionally healthy people who are ready to take on the world. "Love is the key to all things. I've seen more people's lives changed as a result of being genuinely loved than by any other source or influence." It is because of this personal belief and experience with God's love that Janaya's calling and commitment to ministry to help the hearts of God's people is what drives her to serve those who need to be reached by love. The mission statement: "Shining the light of our love, our light will provide resource, support, and education into the dark areas of our community and in people's lives," demonstrates Love Lighthouse's commitment and devotion to those in need. Janaya M. Jackson was born to Pastor Kenneth Paramore and Alesia Jackson in Canton, Ohio. She attended Columbus (OH) public schools, and graduated from Reynoldsburg (OH) High School. Janaya earned her bachelor of science degree with a concentration in psychology from the University of Akron. She earned her master's degree in mental health counseling from Capella University. In 2018 Janaya opened the doors to her life coaching and counseling center, Even Me, LLC.
