Appropriate and pocket friendly treatment of the effluent is therefore the need of the hour. The sugar mill effluent, which is highly organic in nature, was utilized for this study. Bench Scale Tests for Sugar Mill Effluent was carried out to decide the best and cost effective treatment methodology for sugar mill effluent. The prime objective of the present investigation is to address the significant parameters of the combined waste-water emanated from sugar mill, generate the data for designing waste treatment facility for sugar mill effluent by various treatment options in a laboratory andto determine the most optimal sequence of the treatment.
