This collection of poetry follows the dark and haunting journey of a man captured and enslaved by shadows. In order to ever be free, he is forced to face his past in all its forms and rediscover the power within. These pieces tell a story they bury under veils of fear and pride. I hope to meet you on the other side.

Autorenporträt
Amr El-kadamani is a Syrian Australian poet. He has spent most of his life on the road, residing for 6 years in Saudi Arabia, 4 years in Australia, 4 years in Syria, 1 year in the United States, 4 years in Lebanon, and now in Germany, where he studies Pharmacy. This nomadic lifestyle has many causes, including his father's professional aspirations, the death of his father, and the war in Syria. His travels have brought adventures, challenges, and twists, but they have also shaped him into the creative and resilient soul he is today. At the age of 19, he discovered poetry, which allowed him to gain a deeper insight into his emotions and struggles, as well as empathize with the stories of others. This led to multiple slam poetry performances at the collegiate level. His primary focus, however, is contemporary free verse poetry.
