What people won't do for gold... Detective J.D. Find, finder of missing persons, has a new case. When he is hired to find a man's missing wife, J.D. has no idea that this seemingly straightforward missing persons case will land him squarely between the NSA and a billionaire's quest for gold. Since J.D. is still on reserve status in the Army as an investigator with the Criminal Investigation Division, he is pressured into staying away from the corporation run by the billionaire J.D. calls Beardman, but their paths keep crossing. And it's not long before J.D. becomes a target, when he finds a ranch where Beardman and the missing woman show up together. J.D. spends many nights walking miles of sandhills to get close to the ranch, where he sees the couple digging for something that has long been buried in the sand. In his quest to solve the mystery of the missing woman and her connection to Beardman, J.D. eventually uncovers close to a ton of gold rods and 1880s gold coins. He also finds a weapon that is far more advanced than anything known to man... Beneath the Sandhills is a thrilling debut novel that takes the reader on a roller-coaster ride of intrigue, romance, and murder-with a final twist no one will see coming.
