Autor

Caitlin Accurso is an artist, author, and jewelry designer from the Jersey Shore whose work is deeply inspired by the beauty of the beach and coastal life. Growing up by the ocean shaped both her personal and artistic journey. Inspired by her family, she wrote and illustrated her first children's book, Benny at the Beach, after a humorous seaside day with her two sons. When a pair of seagulls tried to steal their lunch, their comical expressions sparked the painting Fish Breath and, ultimately, the idea for a book series.Determined to bring her stories to life, Caitlin taught herself digital illustration and explored self-publishing, leading to the release of Benny at the Beach in March 2023 and its sequel, Sam in the City, in November 2023. Her newest book, Ollie the Elf and the Surfing Surprise (October 2025), blends holiday magic with beachside fun, adding a Christmas twist to her coastal storytelling.Through her books, Caitlin celebrates imagination, diversity, and the joy of discovering adventure both at the shore and beyond.
