Some medicinal and aromatic plants are naturally endowed with insecticidal properties. These are due to their richness in essential oils and/or to the presence of specific compounds such as phenols. Several investigations have been undertaken in this direction with the intention of taking maximum advantage of these properties. It is in this perspective that the present work aims at studying the phytochemical characteristics as well as the impact and efficiency of essential oils extracted from different organs of two Moroccan aromatic and medicinal plants: Berberia Thuja (Tetraclinis articulata) and Red Juniper (Juniperus phoenicea) against the citrus pest: Aphis Citricola.
