The authors are a pair of West Virginia History Heroes and regional Women of Distinction. Jeanne Mozier and Betty Lou Harmisonhave a passion for their adopted home place that, combined, totals nearly a century of collecting, interpreting, and writing about local history. Both were instrumental in founding the Museum of the Berkeley Springs in 1984, and both continue on the board of the museum today. Mozier is an award-winning author and businesswoman and holds two Ivy League degrees. Harmison is a mother and grandmother of three and remains active in the hospitality business, as well as in numerous community groups.
