Bert Daniels (October 31, 1882 - June 6, 1958) was a professional baseball player from 1910 to 1914. His first four years were with the New York Yankees. Daniels played well the first three seasons, hitting .253, .286, and .274. However, in 1913 his batting average dropped to .216, and Daniels was traded to the Cincinnati Reds, where he also hit poorly. Daniels was out of baseball by 1914. Major League Baseball (MLB) is the highest level of professional baseball in the United States and Canada, consisting of teams that play in the National League and the American League. The two leagues merged in 2000 into a single MLB organization led by the Commissioner of Baseball after 100 years as separate legal entities.
