The editor of ‘Annals of Improbable Research’, a spoof science magazine that includes both true and made-up stories, has collected together some of the funniest of them - such as `the effect of peanut butter on the earth's rotation' and `the politically correct periodic table'. The book also features the Ig Nobel Prizes, presented on television by real Nobel laureates for off-beat findings like the `effect of ale, garlic and soured cream on the appetitite of leeches'.
