Malaria is ancient illness as humanity itself, it is responsible for around half million deaths yearly. In most parts of the world, malaria is hard to destroy because the resistance to the antimalarial drugs that proving to be a challenging problem in malaria control, beside their expensive cost and undesirable side effects. These problems lead to using natural plants which can be developed into safe drugs by synthetic strategies to obtain antimalarial active against not only drug-sensitive, but also drug-resistant of Plasmodium. The in vivo effectiveness of beta vulgaris showed effectiveness against several diseases to attenuate rodent malaria strain in three steps by using its aqueous extract, its methanol extract and its fresh juice. The EDs were estimated for the best concentrations of tested antimalarial extracts and its activities in the curative (stable infection) and prophylactic tests (future infection) were done. The histopathological changes in mice liver, spleen and kidney were reported for those mice treated by B. vulgaris aqueous extract and compared with infected untreated mice, Chloroquine treated mice and normal uninfected mice.
