Griselda Meek is a name of my own design. Griselda, the German root to my real name, means dark battle maiden. I have always been strong, powerful, and resilient, even when i wasnt sure of it myself. Meek is my grandmother's maiden name. I have also always been this: quiet, unassuming, and gentle. I am filled with patience and softness. I work hard to be the woman I am. I am tenderness, full of love and rage, and I am split open to be seen by all. With the power of the former and compliance of the latter, I gently and forcefully embrace who I am. I won't forget my roots. Writing has always been a piece of me. From my mother's womb, I've been a storyteller. It's a wonderful release of the chaos in my beautiful baby mind.
