The way in which man explains his actions on the planet implies an understanding of his actions towards nature through the adoption of an anthropocentric ethical model, i.e. one that focuses only on the human species. However, it is necessary to practise environmental ethics that takes into account other forms of life in the same way, be they sentient, biological or systemic, because nature depends on all of us not because we are in it, but because we are it, or rather, an active ethics incorporated into everyday life.
