Philosophy addresses many aspects of life ranging from meaning to morality. But what does it mean to live a life in the first place? Philosophy addresses many aspects of life ranging from meaning to morality. But what does it mean to live a life in the first place? I struggled with this concept for nearly a year after leaving behind everything I knew to move to Iceland without so much as a plan. It didn't go well, and to say I was left unhappy would be an understatement. In fact, I made such a drastic change in the first place because I was unhappy; I was left lost and without direction. Between My Lines is the result of my long and difficult journey of trying to answer those ever-looming questions: What does it mean to live? What does it even mean to be happy? How do we find meaning? How do we come to understand ourselves and others? Nothing is simple, but the least I can do is share my own thoughts and experiences. Inspired by the work of Friedrich Nietzsche and Emil Cioran, this collection of ideas, stories, and aphorisms covers a wide range of topics including everything from language to literature, religion to philosophy, expression to poetry, and all my thoughts and feelings in between. Above all else, it's about how I went from an unhappy life to learning how to live.
