As the secrets of the book begin to reveal themselves to her she realises her life is in danger. She must leave behind all she has known and journey into empty lands with no idea of where she is going or why, led only by her connection with the strange text and with the unknown author who seems to communicate with her through its pages. An amateur mining company formed of misfits and drop-outs sets off in search of gold on the basis of a map they have acquired that may or may not be true. There might be gold, there might be nothing but as go they begin to find their own reasons for the expedition and the journey will show them truths about who they are and what they really want.

David Morrin is an artist, musician and writer with a deep interest in religion and spirituality. Inspired by reading Tolkien at a young age he went on to study English Literature and has worked in mental health crisis intervention. He currently resides in Totnes, Devon in the UK.
