For thousands of years scholars have been searching for embedded codes that would validate the Sacred Texts ...with limited success. What has always remained elusive is closure; the text itself must inform us as to what 'patterns' are to be expected and what form they will take. Both question and answer must reside within the confines of what is presented rather than forcing the texts to conform to arbitrarily applied outside standards. The author addresses this in a casual and conversational manner that invites the Reader to join him in a journey to discovering actual solutions that do, and will continue to address the underlying patterns inherent in writings that have received more attention than any other human literature to date. The entire process of discovery is recorded here: blind alleys, warts, and eureka's alike. Like a ship captain's log, this work was written as it was explored; allowing the Reader to share ...and continue... a most illuminating series of discoveries. The author unveils an internally consistent and self referential system underlying both the letters and numerics that is so tight that one letter could not be taken out of Exodus and placed into Numbers without destroying it. Liberally and colorfully illustrated with both relevant and irreverent material (92 charts, 57 illustrations), this expedition takes the Reader through a breathtaking range of subjects that address the very framework of mathematics and language used by cultures of every age. A full two-thirds of the book is compose of Appendices that vie with the subject matter itself for interest, such as the meanings of the first fifty numbers and precisely how to arrive at them empirically rather than having to 'guess', or depend on vague traditional labels that have been applied by default in lieu of proper analysis. Several of the appendixes simply provide a wealth of research information for further study; others are additional discoveries from related journeys that present freshly minted solutions to ancient mysteries. Understanding the controversy regarding which mysteries 'should' be found in which ancient texts, the author emphatically does not concern himself with siding with one school of thought or another. Nor does he pretend not to have opinions of his own; he merely presents the material as it is for curious soul and determined researcher alike. As a result, this work equally suits the reference material shelf as the bathroom magazine rack. A book with over 45,000 digits, each one of which is meaningful, can inform, overwhelm, or entertain as the Reader's pleasure dictates. The entirety of the quest was carried on with no knowledge of where it would go next, producing the intense yet often whimsical flavor of a journal transcribed 'en route'. In here are the beginnings of an approach that takes the often lunatic-fringe subject of "numerics" and provides parameters by which we can both assess it with confidence, and communicate without bias. "Beyond the Bible Codes" with both its half-finished answers and its fully-demonstrated accomplishments (both of which are necessary), is Pure Discovery in its freshest and rawest form.
