Autorenporträt
At the age of fifteen, Susan Carew first entertained the idea of writing a book but decided to gain life experience before pursuing it. Over the next several years, she worked for a bank for 12 years before leaving to become an au pair in Menorca. Susan then embarked on a career as an English Language teacher, Director of Studies, and English Language Examiner. In 2014, she travelled to Sardinia for her first open water swimming holiday, where she met a wonderful man from California. The two fell in love and were married two years later. That same year, they relocated to Andalusia, Spain, where they could indulge their shared passion for swimming in the sea. The pandemic and subsequent lockdown provided Susan with the time to begin writing, and she quickly discovered a love for it. Susan enjoys daily walks with her Spanish Water Dog, Ruby. Although Ruby remains a little timid about swimming in the sea, Susan hopes she will take the plunge one day.
