Retiring from the Correctional Service of Canada in 2014, Neil MacLean left behind twenty-five years of an often challenging career. Working in the Big House, MacLean was a correctional officer, union steward to Correctional Manager. Now retired, Beyond the Gates of Hell: The Untold Stories falls on the heels of his first book, Serving Life 25: One Guard's Story.
