Beyond the Glass Ceiling: Women's Leadership in Promoting Girl-Child Access to Education has been written by Boru Dulacha and Dr. Josephine Kirimi from Mount Kenya University in the school of Education, both are reputable researchers in educational management and curriculum studies. This piece is a captivating exploration of women's leadership in promoting girl-child access to education. Through a blend of personal stories, case studies, and transformative analyses, the book ignites a sense of urgency and responsibility. It encourages readers to join the movement and actively contribute to the elimination of barriers that hinder girls' education worldwide.Inspite of declaration of gender wage gap in the late 1990s, the percentage of women in leadership made negligible progress. Women remain underrepresented in managerial and leadership roles even in institutions of learning (United Nation, 2016). Although there is an increasing number of females joining teaching in primary schoolsthose in leadership keep decreasing. For an answer to be found, girls in primary schools should be mentored to become leaders in this era and hence increase their participation in managerial roles.
